Always Encrypted

Always Encrypted watches

Your watch is the key.

Carry your sealed credential on your wrist. Use the smartwatch you already wear with our plugin, or choose one of three dress watches with the credential concealed inside the case. The access points you're cleared for open as you reach them, and the building never learns who you are.

A man in a navy suit raises a steel dress watch toward a slim access reader set in a marble wall; the reader shows a small green light.

The watch you already wear

A plugin for your smartwatch.

The plugin puts the same credential the glasses carry onto your watch. Hold your wrist to an encrypted access point, or walk up to one, and it checks whether you're cleared for that door, lift or turnstile. You verify your identity once. The building gets a yes or a no and nothing else.

01

Verify once

One identity check with Always Encrypted. The record is encrypted and stays with us.

02

Credential on your wrist

Your watch holds a signed credential: the clearances you have, and nothing about who you are.

03

Tap or approach

The access point asks one question: is this person cleared for this door right now? Doors, lifts and turnstiles release for a yes.

04

Identity stays sealed

The building never receives your name, face, ID number or contact details.

Our watches

Three watches. Nothing on the dial gives them away.

Each one looks and wears like a fine analog watch. Inside the case is a programmable access credential, a small NFC chip and antenna, which you set up from the Always Encrypted app on your phone. The credential has no battery of its own: the reader powers it for the moment of the tap.

Steel dress watch

Set up from your phone

Programmed from the app. Revoked from it too.

Your watch arrives blank. Once your identity verification is complete, you hold it against your phone and the Always Encrypted app writes your credential to it.

  • Clearances change in the app, so the watch never needs to go back to anyone.
  • If a watch is lost, revoke its credential in the app and it stops opening anything.
  • It works at participating buildings that run Always Encrypted access points.

Glasses, watch, ring

Use one, or use them together.

Each piece carries the same sealed credential, so any one of them gets you through the access points you're cleared for. Wear two or three and they share the work: the ring steers the glasses, the watch confirms on your wrist.

Glasses, watch and ring each connect to an encrypted access point on their own. The ring also controls the glasses, and the watch confirms for the glasses. ring controls the glasses watch confirms glasses watch ring encrypted access point
  • Glasses

    Show you the route

Carry the credential and show one directive at a time. Works on its own.

  • Watch

    A key on your wrist

Carries the credential on its own, or confirms a directive the glasses show you.

  • Ring

    The quietest key

Carries the credential on its own, or controls the glasses with a tap of your thumb.
